Senior Backend Engineer

Clicktripz is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, test, and deploy new features to the backend. Example projects include: bidding algorithm optimizations, location mapping algorithm improvements, building out RESTful endpoints and internal dashboards.
  • Maintain and, when necessary, refactor the core software libraries used to keep the Clicktripz ad exchange humming.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of and enhancements to the backend infrastructure for several product lines that span multiple technology stacks.
  • Manage the build and deployment processes across various backend services.

Skills & Requirements

  • 5 years minimum experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience building production-level websites, and a solid understanding of the web stack.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • You have excellent communication skills. We are a remote and global company with clients and employees all around the globe.
  • Specific skill requirements vary depending on the project. The majority of backend code is written in PHP or Go and deployed on Linux servers in AWS. Other technologies include but are not limited to Git, Postgres, Nginx, Memcached, Redis, Puppet, Docker, and Drone CI. Knowledge of murloc migratory habits is also essential.

Data Engineer - Manhattan Beach, California

The Data Science group is looking for a skilled Data Engineer. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Wrangling and post-processing complex, semi-structured data from a variety of real-world sources that dynamically evolve.
  • Implementing best practices for processing and storing data efficiently across different persistent data stores.
  • Optimizing data imports for business intelligence tools.
  • Benchmarking database technologies, resulting in recommendations for a given use case.
  • Scrubbing noisy datasets, checking for data integrity, and sourcing clean datasets for use by machine learning systems.
  • Developing documentation, including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience as a software engineer.
  • 3+ years experience in a database-administrator or similar role.
  • 2+ years experience developing data-driven applications using significant relational database engines.
  • Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL (specific skill requirements depend on the project).

Senior Data Analyst - Manhattan Beach, California

Serve as trusted counsel on the ever-advancing world of data analytics for Clicktripz. You will unlock the full potential of Clicktripz’ data utilizing business intelligence platforms that tap into the billions of rows of data they store. You will help guide the business development team as they grow our global business, identifying areas of need and of opportunity to bolster revenue. You’ll be involved with both publisher and client reporting, campaign optimizations, data analysis, and building alerts to efficiently manage responsibilities and catch issues as soon as they pop up (instead of being alerted to said issues by clients).

You’ll develop internal reports to track and analyze profit margins and revenue goals and help build out the company’s internal and external reporting and analytics. As a cross-functional player reporting to the VP, Product & Analytics, you will play a key role in structuring analytics and delivering key insights to senior executives while working closely multiple teams with the publisher development, back-end and front-end developers.

Analyst - Manhattan Beach, California

Work closely with account managers on several large advertiser programs, optimizing campaigns multiple times a week, closely monitoring performance, and using analytical skills to find new opportunities.

You will work in concert with the Clicktripz Analytics team to unlock the full potential of the company’s big data, utilizing business intelligence platforms that tap into the billions of rows of data they store. You will help guide the business development team as they grow our global business, identifying areas of need and of opportunity to bolster revenue. You’ll be involved with both publisher and client reporting and data analysis, and help build out the company’s internal and external reporting and analytics. As a cross-functional player reporting to the VP, Product & Analytics, you will play a key role in structuring analytics and delivering key insights to senior executives while working closely multiple teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing advertiser programs and hitting performance objectives.
  • Making use of large data sets spanning multiple data sources across several products and departments.
  • Writing sql queries.
  • Working with Product and Business Development teams to forecast revenue impact of potential new products and prioritize development.
  • Developing new ways to monitor KPIs across a wide network of advertisers, publishers and products using their BI platform (DOMO).
  • Creating new account management processes and strategies based on collecting and utilizing actionable performance data from advertisers.
  • Answering business questions with data. What would happen to x if y did this? What was the cause behind a change in a specific KPI? What was the result of this A/B test and what does it mean?
  • Identifying and making sense of trends using statistical methods – all while coordinating between business, product and engineering groups to drive business strategies into production.

QA Tester - Manhattan Beach, California

Clicktripz is currently looking for a talented QA Tester who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manual testing of supported products and prototypes on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Report bugs in JIRA.
  • Updating Confluence documentation.
  • Utilize in-house testing tools/framework.
  • Work closely with our Engineering department to hasten development cycle.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while still staying in good communication with the rest of the QA team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years QA experience, desktop testing preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Being a fast learner, self-motivated, and driven are all pluses.
